Pellonia is often used to run a Safety Confirmation Service. To do the same you will need to present your customers with a mechanism to 'check-in'.
Vulnerable adults who live on their own typically check in using a 'Safety Confirmation Telephone' this is a high quality big button telephone with am 'I’m Okay' button on it. This makes the process of checking in very easy.
When the button is pressed the Safety Confirmation Telephone sends a signal over the telephone network to confirm the well being of the end user. The telephone will attempt to send this signal up to 3 times each time using a different telephony routes for the utmost in resilience.
Safety Confirmation Telephones are typically programmed with freephone signalling routes the cost of which is included in your Pellonia fixed monthly fee. This ensures there is no cost for end users to check in. There is also a Customer Services button which can be programmed to connect the end user through to a telephone number of your choosing.
End users can also check-in by dialling one or more telephone numbers from their regular telephones and hanging up. A check-in phone call of that nature typically takes no more than 3 seconds.
We recognise the identity of an end user checking in using the Caller Line Identification of the caller and where necessary by requesting the end user enter a short pin code too.
This form of checking in is normally well suited to mobile staff and younger adults who are comfortable and at ease using using telephones.
